Dry slope skiing/snowboarding history.

In the late 1960's the first dry ski slopes opened in Great Britain. Britain's best World Cup SL racers started competing on dry slopes. The "Snowflex" artificial surface was developed in 1979 with the intention of reducing injury and providing slip and grip. Built-in misters continually keep the slope wet.

Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre was built at Liberty University in 2009. Many Free Style teams come here to train, including the Canadian Jr.Team.

The center is located approx. 2 hours from Greensboro.
