2020-2021 ski and race season updates:
Ski resorts may look a bit different this season, but all in an effort to be open for us to free ski and race. Some resorts reopened in late spring for skiing, while others opened this summer. Of those who opened, many developed new service practices to ensure the safety of their employees and customers. These practices included closed restaurants, open bathrooms (plus adding more bathrooms), and using a staggered entry process, much like golf courses use tee times. This was evident at Mt. Hood this summer...Skiers had to make a lift reservation two weeks in advance, only camps could sit next to each other on lifts, no mingling, etc. How resorts handle/offer/don't offer competition events is still up in the air. The USSA has developed detailed guidelines procedures for competition. What resorts mandate is a question. I will keep updating everyone. Please contact David Lippucci at 919-215-8331 with questions or comments.
The GSOC trip to Telluride is still in play and roughly $500 less than the Crescent trip in January. Please review trip details in the Ski Trips and events tab.
